Visa Information

Italy is part of the Schengen Area: visa rules are determined by the applicable Schengen short-stay regulations and the applicant’s nationality.

Attendees are strongly encouraged to verify visa requirements as early as possible using the official Italian government visa portal:

Visa requirements depend on nationality, passport, country of residence, and the purpose and duration of the stay.

For most conference participants traveling for a short stay, the relevant rules will generally be those applicable to short-term visits.

Applicants should check the applicable requirements and submit their application through the Italian Embassy or Consulate responsible for their place of residence.

As visa processing times may vary significantly depending on the country and season, participants are advised to begin the process as early as possible.

  • The current position
  • The paper title the attendee will present
  • The track or workshop of the paper
  • Registration confirmation number

The Conference cannot contact or intervene with any Embassy or Consulate office abroad on your behalf, so please register early and begin your visa application process early.
